This short piece for chamber orchestra started out as a gift for family members, on the occasion of their golden wedding. One of the recipients played both violin and lever harp, and the other the piano.

Shortly after, I decided to arrange it for orchestra. I kept both the piano and harp parts (apologies to any harpists for doubling your part on the piano(!) but I actually really love the sound of the two in combination! There are two versions, one 8 minutes, and this one, 12 minutes.

The piece is gentle and relaxing, centred around lots of lyrical melody.
