Ask and It Shall be Given Unto You      (solo)   5’

 

This is an arrangement of the duet of the same title, so that solo singers can enjoy it too! 

 

It uses the texts (from Luke, Chapter 7, vs vii/viii) “Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find… ask, and ye shall receiveth…” ” knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” “ For it is towards evening and the day is now far done… abide with us.”  It’s both calm, and uplifting. 

 

 

Vocal range:  The A below middle C, (but there are ossias for these), the occasional B below middle C up to A an octave above.
