Frost (for right hand)

This little piece depicts the cold, iciness of frost: there is a wonderful little story behind this pice…. I was wrapping my friend’s birthday present (as usual in “reject” prints of scores!). She rang and thanked me…and enquired as to what the fragment f music in the box was. Ion thinking, I realised it was probably an off-cut of a piece I had not used. She asked me what it was, as it was lovely! I told her it was just a little miniature, not something I would ever do much with, but I was fond of it and would keep it on my shelf. She persuaded me otherwise nd encouraged me to get it put into a concert I was giving at the time. It was well received… so it found it’s way into the world!
