The Snowy Gate (1’)

This tiny miniature was originally an improvisation to one of my photographs (a gate in deep, deep snow which I had taken locally.) The improvisation was for a friend, to send as a Christmas greeting, along with the photo, as he “liked five bar gates.” I liked the improvisation, with its depiction of cold and icy, snowy beauty, so I wrote it down.
