Snowflake Waltz    duration: approx. 1’

This little waltz started out as a light-hearted musical joke. Someone had commented a few days before, that one of my waltzes “does not sound like a waltz to me”:  his argument being that the middle section was too flowing.… but did say that as it was my work I could call it what I liked! It was a waltz in the general sense, not actually meant for dancing to. Subsequent listeners fully agreed that it was a waltz. I saw the funny side of all this, and just for fun, thought I would write a waltz with a few little hick-ups in the time! I then decided it would be nice arranged for harp (this version omits the odd time quirks…well all but one bar in four four!) As I added the finishing touches, it was snowing outside… and it seemed to me, as though the music was the falling snowflakes…..
