The Animals Went in Two By Two
The Animals Went in Two By Two
This is a ridiculously fun piece, with a hilarious version of the traditional story of Noah’s Arc.
Aimed at competent youth choirs, or a mixture of youth and children’s choirs combined, it is divided into two, then three, then four parts. There is lots of “pushing and shoving” which will appeal to the younger ones and the piano accompaniment is supplemented by a small variety of other instruments that young choir members can get involved in: car horns (which can be substituted by saxophone) and cow bells.
There are simple lines, such as “heave, heave, heave, heave” with more complex tunes on top, hence the useful possibility of involving choirs of different levels in the one performance.
There is humorous narration interspersed throughout, and the piece is sure to have both performers and audience chuckling nicely! Get ready for some hilarious rehearsals too!
“As you lot won’t move out of my way, I’m going to tickle your bottoms for the rest of the day!”
(full lyrics can be seen in the “look inside” score)
