Autumn (2’)

This was written for a pupil to play in a concert that my pupils were giving where much of the music was about “the seasons”. We did not have many pieces for autumn, so I wrote this… it is about the wistful quality of autumn, as we leave summer behind. Two thirds of the way through, there is a “flurry of semiquavers;” the falling, dancing leaves…
